I wasn't always a healthy guy. After being very athletic as a youngster in Edmonton, my dream of becoming the next Wayne Gretzky ended and I slipped into a lifestyle full of unhealthy habits. It took many years but when I was finally sick and tired of being sick and tired I knew it I had to do something.
One of the most rewarding decisions I ever made was to start exercising. Getting in shape isn’t easy and I made a lot of mistakes in the beginning. I wasted a lot of time, got injured, but I kept learning and I kept going.
As I got stronger and more focused in my workouts, I became more confident and productive in life. I began to focus on eating better which really helped me start feeling more energetic and looking younger. I started to like the guy I saw in the mirror. I felt like like that active kid again. Full of life!

As a recent addition to the over 50 club, I understand that getting older isn’t always fun. Aging presents a lot of new challenges. A gradual decrease in energy and mobility often occur and leave us feeling depressed as we can no longer enjoy some of the activities we used to love.
